Our answer
Most long-haul business class flights give you a small pouch with things to help you sleep and freshen up. A typical kit has:
- An eye mask and earplugs.
- Socks, and sometimes slippers.
- Lip balm, face moisturizer or hand cream.
- A toothbrush and toothpaste.
- Sometimes a pen, tissues, a hairbrush or a mouthwash.
Brands: airlines often team up with well-known skincare, fashion or luggage brands for their kits, and they change them every year or two. So the exact brand depends on the airline, the route and even the time of year. First class kits are usually bigger and fancier.
Is it worth keeping? Many people think so. The pouches make handy travel bags for chargers, cables or toiletries, and the skincare minis are perfect for your carry-on. Some travelers collect them. And if you don’t want one, you can simply say no thanks when the crew hands them out.
Shorter daytime flights in business class often have a smaller kit or none at all.
