Our answer
On most airlines, no. But a few do, and it’s worth knowing which.
The best-known is Emirates, which has offered a free chauffeur service for business and first class passengers on many fares in many cities, including in the US. A few other airlines, mostly from the Middle East and Asia, include a car for first class and sometimes for higher business class fares. Most US and European airlines don’t include an airport transfer in business class.
If your airline offers it, the usual rules are:
- It’s only on certain fare types. Cheaper business class fares sometimes don’t include it.
- There’s a distance limit from the airport, often around 50 to 80 miles.
- You must book it in advance, usually at least 12 to 24 hours before.
- It’s not available in every city the airline flies to.
If a free car matters to you, tell us when you ask for a quote. We’ll check whether it’s included on your fare and city, and compare it against the airlines that don’t include it. Sometimes a cheaper fare plus a paid car still works out better.
