Our answer
Usually, but not always. Business class bags get a Priority tag at check-in, and they’re meant to be loaded so they come off the plane first. Most of the time that works, and your bag is one of the first on the belt.
Why it sometimes doesn’t:
- Connections. If your bag was transferred from another flight, it may be loaded late and come out with everyone else’s.
- Busy airports and ground staff. At some airports, bags simply come out in the order they’re unloaded.
- Separate tickets, where your bag might not be tagged as priority at all.
Tips to get out of the airport faster:
- Check your bag tag at the desk says Priority.
- Use Global Entry or fast-track immigration where it’s available, so you reach baggage claim sooner.
- For short trips, travel with carry-on only.
And if your bag doesn’t arrive, report it at the airline’s desk before you leave the baggage hall. Business class passengers often get priority help there too.
